3 Different Ways To Stay In Shape

Sure, going to the gym or getting into running is one way to adopt a healthy lifestyle, but these are not for everybody. Either you’ve just never been a runner, or you can’t find the time to get to the gym, especially after a long day at the office (or rather your kitchen table). But, this shouldn’t mean you abandon your fitness dream altogether. It just means you have the chance to look at different ways to keep fit, and here are three of the best.

A Pack Of Cards

What good is a pack of cards when it comes to getting into shape? Well, if you don’t have free weights at home playing cards are a fantastic and unique bodyweight exercise routine that is never the same.

All you need to do is pick three workouts (at least to begin). Let’s say you choose push-ups, squats, and heel-to-toe crunches. When you do, shuffle the deck and lay it face down on the floor. Pick the top card and do the number of reps it stays, so the three of clubs would mean you do three pushups. Go onto the next card and pick again, if it’s the six of diamonds, you would do six squats. You complete the set by drawing a third card and doing however many crunches match the number. After this, you begin the cycle again.

It’s a quick and easy way to do 365 reps without too much work, and you can do it anywhere, any time. The more comfortable you get, the more you can expand the workout.

On The Water

We all know how swimming is a great way to get a full-body workout, but the pool is often crowded and also kind of gross. However, t6his should stop you from getting into shape on the water rather than in the water

Activities like wakeboarding or kayaking are a superb way to get some fresh air and push yourself, even if it might not seem that way. They might be an investment at first, but it’s the chance to introduce yourself to a brand new hobby. You can also look to Buy Life Jackets and other equipment to ensure safety, and don’t hesitate to get involved with the community to learn more.

Drumming

The musically inclined might not want to leave their house, though, especially if it’s too cold. In that case, why not channel your inner Dave Grohl and burn up to 600 calories an hour smashing high hats and thumping the bass drum?

It’s likely to make a racket, for sure, but once you get into the groove, you’ll be able to burn off fat much more easily than you would by sticking to a strict diet and going for a run. Ast the very least, it can help you cut some weight before you start exploring other ways to get into shape, and you might just discover a knack for drumming, too.

Fit and Fun

Getting into shape needn’t (and shouldn’t) be something you dread with every fibre of your being. It should be fun to get fit, and if you’ve struggled to find the perfect activity to help you look and feel good, consider these and give them a try.
