5 European Party Destinations You Must Visit Before You’re 30

Living in a generation of risk takers, rule breakers and ‘bucket list’ makers, we’re seeing a huge rise in people making lists of places to visit and things to do, before they reach a certain age. Therefore, I’ve teamed up with, Last Night of Freedom, to round up the top party destinations to tick off, before you hit the big 3-0.

Boasting a huge variety of illustrious nightlife hotspots, including the Bigg Market, Geordie Shore’s Diamond Strip and the classy, upmarket Grey Street – you’ll be spoilt for choice with places to party. Plus, with iconic tourist hotspots such as The Tyne Bridge, Millennium Bridge and the glistening quayside, NUFC’s impressive football stadium, St James Park, and the world-renowned Angel of the North – there’s plenty of sightseeing to be done between all that partying. It’s also a commonly known fact that the further north you travel, the cheaper everything gets – which explains why it’s one of the first on the list for many hen night ideas.

Of course, I can’t overlook our cool capital, London. If you haven’t visited before, it’s time to crawl out from the rock you’ve been living under and get yourselves to The Big Smoke. From Cosmopolitans in classy cocktail bars in the sky and nail art masterclasses, to trays of shots in rowdy nightclubs after a Mini Cooper challenge around the city – whatever you want to get out of London, you’ll get it with bells on.

Prague is not only vibrant and beautiful, it has a wicked underbelly and a nightlife scene like no other. The capital is a hotbed of historic and breathtaking landmarks, such as the beautiful Old Town and Charles Bridge, as well as late-night bars and underground clubs. The nightlife is world-famous (it isn’t one of our most popular locations for nothing, you know) and the prices are even better. Anywhere where you can get drinks for under a quid is a yes in our book.

One of the most popular locations for a city break from the UK, Barcelona offers a brilliant mixture of culture and entertainment unlike any other European city. The cosy cocktail bars and underground clubs nestled amongst the tall alleys of the Barri Gotic (Gothic Quarter) offer a great atmosphere for groups. Down on the Port Olimpic promenade, huge venues like Shoko and Opium are upmarket restaurants through the day and high-end nightclubs through the night. During the day, when you’re not engaging in retail therapy or exploring the local landmarks, Barcelona’s beautiful stretches of criminally underrated beach are perfect for sipping a mojito and dipping your toes in the Med.

Finally, the chic and confident London of the North’s party scene must be experienced to be believed. With its various different zones – including the Northern Quarter and the super-fashionable Deansgate – each boasting a unique atmosphere and vibe. Apart from just the superb nightlife, there’s a huge range of activities to involve yourselves in, too – including naked chocolatier sessions, tipsy afternoon tea parties and Gypsy Shrine glitter parties
