I know this time of the year can be a bit of a struggle to buy the perfect gift for loved ones, but it’s even harder when buying for a lad. We know what we want, but don’t want to ask for it. Anyway, as a blogger I get to try out loads of things from skincare, fragrances, experiences and more, so I’ve put all my favourite things I’ve recently tried and recommend as a gift, all in one place.
Secret Scent Box
Everyone loves fragrances at Christmas, but you don’t want to be that person buying a Lynx Africa gift set thinking it’ll be wanted, it’s not. It won’t be used and you’ll both be left disappointed. The guys at Secret Scent Box recently sent me over one of their subscription boxes, which features 3 random fragrances to try out monthly.
Why does a subscription to this make a great gift? Well, it’s a great thing to buy if you don’t know what fragrances the person likes, as they get to try out different ones and find the perfect one for them. It also comes in a nice box and looks great. I actually discovered ‘Givenchy Play Sport’ in my box, which i’ve since purchased and love to wear daily. Winning.

Anthony Skincare
I’d never heard of the brand, Anthony, but they recently sent me over a collection of face washes, shave gels and moisturiser, and I love it. I can’t recommend this brand enough if you’re looking to get something a little different, or introduce them to a new brand.
They pride themselves on natural ingredients and advanced technology, so you know you’re getting a good product, and they will to. I tried the products individually but after checking out their site, they have some great gift sets on there especially for the festive season.
Shark Encounter Gift Experience
Yeah this isn’t something everyone would like but I had to include it as one for those who see themselves as a bit of a daredevil. The guys at Blue Planet Aquarium do these PADI-recognised SCUBA sessions where you’re taught basic diving techniques before jumping in with the aquarium’s Sand Tiger sharks, scary.
These are available at £175 pp but i’m sure they certainly won’t forget about this in a while.
Prints for the Wall
If they own their own place, or are moving in to somewhere new, it’s good to brighten up the room a bit with some colour on the walls. I’ve got a few framed prints around my apartment, but one of my favourites is the “Say Yes” print from independent brand Mooku.
They also do framed calendars and funky cactus wrapping paper so check them out.
