They say that a luxury timepiece for a man is the equivalent to an engagement ring for a woman, but it’s something I’ve never had the biggest of interest in. I’ve owned watches in the past and they’ve looked nice with sleek, minimal designs, but i’ve never owned anything £200+. Watches can be a bit of an investment, something you pass down to your kids and they pass down, whether this is an investment financially or personally.
So, with that in mind, I started to look in to luxury watches more and stumbled upon this collaboration between Tag Heuer and The Watch Gallery, which is my latest in the ‘brand spotlight’ series I’ve got going on (different brands and products i’m feeling at the moment). They’ve made only 2oo of these pieces worldwide, named “Formula 1”, which just oozes high quality, performance and luxuryin my opinion.

If you watch sport, you’ll see Tag Heuer everywhere at the moment (even sponsoring the scores on Sky Sports Football), so they’ve continued their long standing association with motor sport for this latest design, following on their usual sleek style and adding The Watch Gallery’s signature sapphire blue to create an eye-catching product, and I have to say I REALLY like this. The design does it for me, but there’s also some great specs, including 1/10th of a second chronograph and brushed steel bracelet. Priced at £1,250, this is a timeless piece and one i’d only dream of owning.
