Brand Spotlight: Garrett Leight Sunglasses

If you know me, or read my blog often, you’ll know I love sunglasses. Pretty much every profile picture I’ve had features me wearing a pair, and as someone who wears glasses daily, I appreciate the great selection of frames and styles there is out there. One brand I featured in my ‘top sunglasses for Summer‘ collection was Garrett Leight, a Californian optical brand i’ve admired for a while.

Design is something I’ve always been interested in, and feel it is an important factor in my decision to purchase a product, everything from the logo design to inspirations behind the product. This is the first thing that caught my eye with Garrett Leight. Their minimal, clever logo, mirrors the thought behind their frames which are sophisticated and timeless in my opinion.

The pair I really want is the ‘Milwood’ frame, which is a round eye shape with gentle curves. These come in 8 colourways but the darker shades are the ones for me. The matte black with pure grey glass style is a classic look for all year round, but the perfect pair for me (and my next purchase) is the dark tortoise pair with blue smoke polarised glass. This style is perfect for the Autumn months when we get those odd days of sunshine, but wouldn’t look out of place on the beach next Summer.

Garrett Leight, to me, just oozes ‘cool’ and my ideas and admiration for California as a place makes this brand the ideal optical brand. The laid back, care-free lifestyle is something we all dream of, so why not bring a bit of that to the UK? These can be picked up from SEEN Opticians if you fancy a pair like me.
